First the size is a HUGE factor of what length of hair you have and what look you want to achieve. Here are some size tips:
3/4″ to 1 1/4″
Is the smaller barrel and is perfect for shorter hair and will provide great lift and curl.
1 1/4″ to 1 3/4″
This is the medium sized barrel and is great for long hair for semi-loose curls.
1 1/4″ to 1 1/2″
This size of brush will have a more open bristle which creates volume with short hair. You can also run it through your roots with long hair to achieve more volume.
1 1/2″ to 2″
The large barrel creates great waves and curves for long hair and also a great amount of volume when brushed from the crown to ends using a rolling motion.
