Round Brushes… WHAT?
Why is it round? How do I even use a round brush? What kind of brush is right for my hair? If you’ve ever had any of these questions, today is your lucky day the mystery of the round brush will be solved!
First the size is a HUGE factor of what length of hair you have and what look you want to achieve. Here are some size tips:
3/4″ to 1 1/4″
Is the smaller barrel and is perfect for shorter hair and will provide great lift and curl.
1 1/4″ to 1 3/4″
This is the medium sized barrel and is great for long hair for semi-loose curls.
1 1/4″ to 1 1/2″
This size of brush will have a more open bristle which creates volume with short hair. You can also run it through your roots with long hair to achieve more volume.
1 1/2″ to 2″
The large barrel creates great waves and curves for long hair and also a great amount of volume when brushed from the crown to ends using a rolling motion.
Add the Surface Jump Mousse to the roots and the volume will last all day!
Using a round brush isn’t easy and the first few times might feel awkward. Like anything else, learning takes a few times before it gets easier. We hope this helps clear up any questions you may have had about the brush that is round.

Many articles, and probably even your stylists continue to talk about the importance of your hair washing routine, but what really is the proper way to wash your hair? Should we wash everyday, every other day? Use the same shampoo, or switch things up? Let’s hear what the experts say:
Less is More- The truth for healthier looking hair, and for a longer blowout is not washing the hair everyday. Some experts say to go 2-3 days between shampooing your hair for the best look. To help your hair stay clean, and non-greasy they recommend a Dry Shampoo.
One is Best- Switching shampoo’s is not better for your hair. If anything it does not do much anything different.
Shampoo on top, Conditioner on Bottom- When washing, focus the shampoo more on the roots to cleanse and the conditioner on the shaft and ends to help maintain moisture and give that shiny look.
Conditioner is Good!- Some people think conditioner only makes their hair greasy and does more harm than good, but that isn’t true. As mentioned before it is good for the ends of your hair, however you should not put so much on the roots of your hair. Natural Oils are healthy and will help condition the roots, so too much conditioner will overwhelm them.

Jennifer Aniston, Ellen Pompeo, Kate Beckingsale and Reno Blow Dry Bar all have something in common, our love for Ficcare Clips!
Ficcare is a family owned company that produces Hair Pins, Barrettes, Pony Holders, Hair clips, and so much more! What makes them so special? Our favorite thing about the Hair Clips is that they do not leave a dent in your hair, which makes them perfect to sleep in! Another awesome fact about the clips is variety of ways you can wear them! Partial Updo, and a French Twist are just two of the styles. Along with the rest of the Ficcare products, the clips come in many different sizes and colors. Other companies have tried to produce similar products but Ficcare is so unique there isn’t any other clip that comes close to it.
Our stylist suggest uses the clips to help maintain your blowout, or for days when you don’t have time to receive a blowout. Ficcare clips are not hard on your hair so they won’t leave a dent or even damage your hair!
Make sure to purchase your Ficcare Clip at your next appointment, or go to http://www.ficcare.com to find out more about these amazing products.

Love your blowouts and want more? Here are some handy-dandy tips to make your blowouts last longer!

2. Be careful when you sleep.
During your sleep so much happens with your hair. For one, most people sleep on cotton pillows which are really hard on your hair. Stylist, for Lifestyle Mirror, say the best thing to do is to sleep with a silk or satin pillow case. They will reduce the friction on your hair. Also during your sleep, you sweat and that sweat will cause moisture in your hair, which is a huge way for your style to get destroyed.
3. Stay clear from moisture.
Any kind of moisture is upsetting for your blowout. If you need to shower, wear a really good shower cap and don’t make the water hot enough to steam the bathroom. Also, going to the gym, or even sleeping like mentioned before will cause sweat and moisture. Do your best to prevent moisture!
4.Shine it!
After the Dry Shampoo and a day or so of wear, the shine that your hair had on the first day might have faded away. So to perk up your blowout and give it salon look everyday, spritz some shine spray to your hair. But remember, a little goes a long way.
